Outfits!! Yay for fashion!

As you know, I've made a change to my style recently. I've posted lots of pictures of inspiration, but I have yet to post what has come of my amazing trips to thrift stores and online purchases....

Last semester seems like ages ago! I hadn't even figured out my look yet, but I did wear this little number. A snazy vest from Macy's, Harry Potter glasses, a velvet bow clip from my childhood, and my Kingdom Keyblade necklace from the Kingdom Hearts video game.

This was the first real super cute outfit I wore this semester. The skirt was a recent purchase from H&M, the shoes are from a thrift store, and the bag was some awesome random thing my grandma had in her closet!

( I know, the skirt looks awkwardly hiked up in the back. bleh)

Next was my super cute Valentines outfit! I was super excited to wear this dress. I got it at Ross, and the shoes are my dream shoes I found online on QVC!!!

Keep in mind that I'm a horrible model, so all my pictures look super awkward.

I'm super proud of my bow! I was always a stickler for "princess bows" when I was little. My Dad was the only person who I trusted to tie one for me.

Me and one of my lovely roommates, Kendall. I love that she's all "yeah, I'm sexy..." and I'm like "Look! I have a gun!"     oh... and *** follow the stars to the bottom!!

Yesterday I was a nerd's dream! I wore my Super Mario tee, a blue cardi with ruffles, Lego hair clip and ring (made by moi), my usual purple high-top Cons ( not to mention the yoda socks I wore under them), and smelled like a wonderful library full of books.

And I couldn't resist taking the pic wiht my beloved Darth Mug, and my trusty Mac.

And today I finally wore the most beautiful sweater I have ever had the gift of wearing! It was given to my by a wonderful friend of mine in a huge present made up of clothes/shoes she no longer wore. Now, she is a very tiny woman, and I'm a not so tiny woman. So it was a bit snug around the uhm... *ahem* upper rib-cage area.... So I thought I would never be able to wear it. Well, today I pulled it out and my roommates then informed me that I could wear it with the top buttons un-done and with a tee under!!!

(This is pretty much how all my pictures turn out... again, I'm a very awkward model)

(detail of the beautiful applique and my unicorn necklace from modcloth that Jojo gave me for my birthday!)

I'm always trying to find an outfit I can wear my awesome fur collar-thing with. The roommies say it's a total no-go. But I like it!

Then we just had fun with Jojie's photo skills and my bowler hat :]

again.. **** follow to the bottom! :D ( or just remember this and read      when you finish...)

Next, we had fun with color-select on the camera

I like to call this one "Failed Attempt at Camouflage"

That's it from me today! Sorry for the overload of pictures!! I hope y'all enjoyed them!!

P.S. As I've been taking these pictures and putting a post together. My wonderful roommate, Jojo, has been my patient photographer, and is also posting her own fabulous fashion escapades! Go check her out here. She's a very talented writer and is a kick butt Lois-Lane-snappy-dresser

**** I couldn't help but add that these two pictures make me feel like Mrs. Peel and John Steed from The Avengers!! I've been trying to explain the show to Kenny and Jojo, but they just don't understand awesome British television the same way I do :]

Real Snow White

I’ve been meaning to write about something like this for a while. I want to let all my miscellaneous readers know that along with all the other personalities I have listed at the top of my page I’m also a daughter of Christ, and I believe that Jesus came to this world to atone for our sins.

Now, you may wish to stop reading this entry right now, or you may decide that I’m not worth reading anymore at all. That’s fine with me.But if you’re willing to hear what I have to say today (I’m not going to write a sermon, or write some tear-jerking witness statement), I would appreciate it.

Every morning I spent time with God. I wake up, hit the snooze a couple times, when I know that I have to get ready, I roll over and I grab my journal and my little devotion book that was my grandma’s when she was a teenager. . .

A couple days ago, while I was having my morning God time, it entered my mind the saying that I am a Princess of the King. It’s a saying that goes around in most Christian circles, because what girl doesn’t want to be known as a princess!

As all you smarty-pants have probably deduced, I am a big fan of Snow White. I was thinking about the characteristics that I want to develop as a follower of Christ, and I started connecting it to the characteristics of Snow White.

She was a loving princess. Even when she was under the oppression of her evil stepmother, Snow White kept her spirits up and was a hard worker. She never lost her loving side; she never became harsh and calloused.

When the 7 dwarves took her in, she was a willing and happy worker. She never complained about taking care of 7 men, feeding them, cleaning. She was truly thankful for the protection they were able to offer her.

Just like us, she fell into temptation (she even did it three times in the original story!). But every time she was saved, forgiven, and kept safe under the care of her protectors. The final time in her story, her true savior came and rescued her from death. He brought her back to life with his love, and he took her to his eternal kingdom nestled atop the shimmery-golden clouds.

And her name! Snow White. When I pray for forgiveness, I ask God to make my heart as clean as snow, to wash all the bad ickies away.

It’s a really exciting thing for me to be able to connect one of my top favorite literary characters with traits that I wish to develop, and traits that are also the same as the God whom I long on being more like.

To all who read through that ramble, I truly thank you. I know it probably didn’t make sense at parts. I’m not the best at making my thoughts clear with words. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask me and I’ll do my best to clear anything up for you!

I pray that you all be blessed and have a wonderful day!

Happy Valleytines!!

I posted a new song here, in part of my Valentine's celebration.

note: I pre-recorded the video a couple days ago, and tried to make a new one today, because I love my V-day outfit. In the end, I gave up because this one was still better. I'll upload a few outfit pics on here soon, I just have to get them from my roommate's camera first.

Happy Valentines Day!
